What to do after downloading the file?

Well this is a common question. Usually, the file will not have an extension and will have names consisting of long numbers. Not to worry, this question can be solved easily.

You will have 2 choice which i will post.

Choice 1, this is my preferred choice.
1.The file should be renamed to a flv format. Meaning "filename".flv
2.we would need to convert the flv file to a playable media format. This would require a converter, i recommend ultra video to flash converter
3.Download the converter, at http://www.ultrashareware.com/Ultra-Vid … verter.htm
4.Install the converter.
5.Run the converter.
6.Set up the converter by following this. Click on options, choose an output directory (where you want your files to be placed after converting)
7.Under Encoding , select the quality of the video you want (better the quality bigger the size), i recommend putting the best quality. For best effect.
8.For best quality, follow these specs,output format:MPG video frame rate:30 video bit rate:1304 audio sample rate: 44100 audio bit rate 160. This may sound complicated but its actually dead simple
9.Go back to the "Batch" tab by clicking on the "Batch" icon
10.Drag and drop the file u want to convert(in this case the file u downloaded from megarotic and u renamed to flv) to the box.
11.Click Convert.
12.Once converted the video file can be found at your  output directory.

Note: With the trial version you can only convert one file at a time. (Its much better than other converters which only allows 3min of conversion length) Other video converters can also be used, such as the popular prism FREE video converter http://www.nchsoftware.com/prism/index.html or the one that dude09 recommended http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER_1 its called "SUPER" i recommend downloading super from the mirror site as its less of a hustle.


Choice 2 , Lazy man's way
1.The file should be renamed to a flv format. Meaning "filename".flv
2.Download Total Video Player from http://www.download.com/3000-2139_4-10579867.html
3.Play the flv file using Total Video Player

Notes:This is the faster choice. Use it if u don't have the need or want to convert the file to a video format.But the bad point of this choice is that, flv files  that are played cant be fast forwarded as this is the nature of flv files.

Please note that both of these choices can be used with any other flv files from any other sources, not necessarily megarotic so feel free to explore and try it out.

Just a general question can't we set the option "more>>>connection>>>>use single thread for original url" in the preference panel "Download/Connection"? By setting "Megarotic" in the "server execptions" with 1 connection?

Oh, great thinking. That idea never struck me, as i don't really visit Megarotic too often. I would think that idea is generally feasible. I would be trying it out soon, next time i visit megarotic. Have you experiment with it yet? Does it work fine?

Yup tried it for another 10 files, it seems to work fine. Thanks for your suggestion in trying to reduce the hassle.
