I have started translating the text file info Afrikaans and the job is about 60% complete.
In the meantime I would like to get some feed back on the translations.
(I have sent out the file to 10 Afrikaans speaking people asking them to use it with OrbitDownloader, which they have to download, install and use. So far I did not hear anything what soever. ;-(
I wonder if I should go on completing the rest of the translation, or if I am just wasting my time here ....?)
The Beta file was forwarder do the contact by eMail, and I also heared nothing form them either ....
;-((
While testing my translation, I also found a BUG in the menu, which seems to be `hard coded` and can thus not be translated. (This was also mentioned in my eMail for which i received no reply sofar.)
... to be found in: "View | Language" ("LANGUAGE")
======
Kind regards
Peter

Member HARD-CODED word "Language" in the MenuDear Orbit Development Team,
it seems you have a problem with the HARD-CODED word "Language" in the Menu!
See: OrbitDownloader menu

Parameter 61601 is somehow not used correctly ...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
61601=Language (ENG)
61601=Sprache (DEU)
61601=Taal (AFR) <<< (V0.01 Beta)

Version 2.6.1 - no change ;-(

The label of menu Item 'View->Language' is retained as 'Language'. The reason is: if somebody changes the interface to a language that he can't read by occasion, he can at least read this menu item and switch to other languages.

I understand this PROBLEM, but why could you not use the proper language as in the rest of the menus and then put "(LANGUAGE)" afterwards in brackets ! ???
- Would this not make more sense ??
- You could then also do the same with View "(View)", to make sure every body gets it back in order, or place a new menu "(!!!)" item under HELP - even with the "(?)" added, which is then kept the same for all languages.
Just an idea .... ![]()
Kind regards
Peter
